PlatePlaya ("we," "our," or "the app") is a walk-up music player for baseball teams. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used, and your choices.
Data you provide. When you use PlatePlaya, you create teams, players, and voice recordings. This data is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to our servers.
Song search. When you search for a song, your search query is sent to the Apple iTunes Search API to retrieve results and download 30-second preview clips. We do not operate this API and do not store your search history. Apple's privacy policy governs their handling of search requests.
Analytics and crash reporting. We use Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Crashlytics to understand app usage and diagnose crashes. These services may collect app-instance identifiers, device and operating-system information, usage events, and crash diagnostics. We do not send team names, player names, or voice recordings to these services. We do not record sessions.
PlatePlaya requests microphone access solely to record voice intros for walk-up songs. Recordings are stored locally on your device and are never uploaded or shared.
All team, player, and audio data is stored locally on your device using an on-device database. We do not operate a cloud service and do not have access to your data. If you uninstall the app, all local data is deleted.
Our website uses Google Analytics for Firebase to measure page views and understand traffic. Google Analytics uses first-party cookies and browser identifiers and may collect device and browser information, usage events, and approximate location derived from IP addresses. We do not use session replay.
PlatePlaya does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The app is intended for use by coaches, parents, and players of all ages, but does not require or collect any personal information to function.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
